Files: folders, uploads and watermarks

Files is the media library of your project. Photos and videos you upload once can be used in posts, the store, Link Bio pages and chat flows. Folders keep it tidy, the built-in editor fixes pictures quickly, and watermarks protect them.

Where to find it

Files is under Tools in the menu of every app. Opening it does not take you out of the app you are working in.

Uploading files

1. Open Files.
2. Drag photos and videos into the window, or click Upload files and select them. You can select many files at once; the upload starts by itself.

The Actions menu can offer more ways to add files, depending on your workspace and plan:

• Upload From URL: paste a link to a file;
• Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive;
• Stock media: search free photos and videos online and save them to your library.

Images, stories and clips made in AI Studio and the Video app are saved to Files automatically.

Folders

1. Click New folder, name it, for example “Reviews carousel” or “Spring collection”, and create it.
2. Open the folder and upload files into it.
3. When you add media to a post with Select media, open the folder and pick the files.

Folders can be renamed or deleted from their menu.

Image editor

Choose Edit image on a picture to crop it to 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9, apply filters, adjust brightness and colour, and add text. Save the result back to the library. The editor may depend on your plan.

Watermarks

A watermark is your logo or name placed on images when they are published.

1. In Files, open Actions → Watermark.
2. Choose whether the settings apply to All Accounts or to one channel.
3. Choose the type: text or image. For an image, a PNG logo with a transparent background works best.
4. Set the position and opacity and check the Live preview.
5. Click Save Changes.

The watermark is added at the moment of publishing, so your originals in Files stay clean. A channel with its own watermark uses it; the others use the one set for all accounts. Keep the mark small and in a corner.

Limits

The maximum file size and the total storage depend on your plan. When the storage is full, you see a message that the plan’s file storage limit is reached: delete files you no longer need or upgrade.

Tips

• Name files so search finds them later: “cake-chocolate-2kg” is better than “IMG_4432”.
• Upload videos in the best quality you have; networks compress them anyway.
• Use stock photos as backgrounds, and your own photos for products and people: they build more trust.
