Cross-posting

Cross-posting is publishing the same content to several social networks, ideally adapted to each network's format and audience.

Cross-posting means sharing one piece of content across several networks: the same announcement on Instagram, Facebook, Telegram and LinkedIn, or the same short video on Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Done well, each version is adapted: a different caption length, the right aspect ratio, network-specific hashtags and a native call to action.

For a small business, cross-posting is the most realistic way to be present on several networks without a large team. The risk is lazy copy-paste: cut-off text, hashtags that make no sense on LinkedIn, a watermark from another app, or links that do not work in captions. Audiences notice and engage less.

Example: a yoga teacher records one tip video. It goes out as a Reel with a short caption, as a TikTok with trending sound, and as a Telegram post with a longer explanation and a link to book.

In AI SMM one idea goes out to every connected network from a single calendar, with text limits checked per network, and AI can repurpose the text for each platform.
