API

An API (application programming interface) is a documented way for two programs to exchange data and commands without a person clicking buttons.

An API (application programming interface) is a set of rules that lets one program talk to another: request data, create a record or trigger an action. When a scheduling tool publishes your post to a network, or a website form sends a lead into your CRM, an API is usually doing the work behind the scenes.

For a small business, APIs are what make tools work together instead of creating extra copy-and-paste. You rarely need to write code yourself: many services connect through ready integrations, webhooks or no-code tools that use the API for you.

Example: an online school connects its payment system to its course platform. When a payment arrives, the course platform opens access automatically, and nobody has to check payments by hand.

AI SMM connects to networks through their official login and publishing interfaces, and API access to your own workspace is included in the Business plan and above. Chat flows can also start from a webhook sent by another system: see chat automation.
