Influencer marketing is a strategy where a brand partners with creators to reach and persuade their audience. Formats include paid posts and stories, product reviews, giveaways, affiliate links and discount codes, long-term ambassador deals and content that the brand can reuse in its own feed.
For a small business, influencer marketing works best when it is local or niche and measured carefully. Several small creators with a close audience are often more efficient than one big name. Set one goal per campaign (new followers, visits, sales), give each creator a unique code or link, and compare the cost per result with your other channels.
Example: a home cosmetics brand sends its new face cream to eight micro-bloggers who write about skincare. Each gets a personal discount code. After a month, three codes brought most of the sales, so the brand continues with those three creators.
To measure results, tag each creator’s link with UTM parameters and compare how their visitors convert, for example in an AI SMM online store or on a link-in-bio page.
