A pinned post is a publication you fix at the top of your profile grid, feed, Telegram channel or group chat, so it stays visible regardless of newer posts. Most networks let you pin one or a few posts, and you can change them at any time.
For a small business, pinned posts are a free “shop window” for new visitors, who usually look at the profile before following or writing. Good candidates: a short introduction (“who we are and how to order”), your best review or result, the current offer, prices or the most frequently asked questions.
Example: a Telegram channel of a handmade candle shop pins a post with a catalogue link, delivery terms and “how to order” in three steps. The number of repeated questions in the chat drops noticeably.
Review pinned posts every month or two: an expired promotion at the top of your profile signals that nobody is looking after the account. A pinned evergreen guide or introduction, by contrast, keeps working for a long time.
