Audience segmentation

Segmentation is splitting your contacts into groups by shared traits or behaviour so each group gets more relevant messages.

Audience segmentation divides your customers and subscribers into groups that share something: location, interests, what they bought, how recently they were active, where they came from, or how they answered a quiz. Each segment then receives messages, offers and content that fit it.

For a small business, even simple segmentation noticeably improves results. A newsletter about kids’ classes sent only to parents, or a “we miss you” discount sent only to customers inactive for three months, gets more opens and fewer unsubscribes than one message for everyone. Start with two or three segments that matter for sales.

Example: a pet shop tags subscribers as “dog owners” and “cat owners” based on their first purchase. Offers for dog food no longer annoy cat owners, and clicks on promotional emails go up.

AI SMM supports segments in email marketing and web push, contacts can be tagged in the inbox, and a segment can even trigger a chat flow.
