What it is
International Women's Day is marked on 8 March and is recognised by the United Nations. It is usually traced to early twentieth-century women's labour and suffrage movements, and today it is both a day about women's rights and, in some countries, a day of flowers and gifts.
It is a public holiday in Russia and Kazakhstan, where it is closer to a spring Mother's Day with a strong gift and beauty market. In other countries the focus is more on equality, achievements and community, so choose the tone that matches your audience.
Symbols: Mimosa and tulips in Russia and some neighbouring countries, purple in the international movement, a card, a bouquet

What to aim for
- Sales: be the easy answer to “what do I give her” with a clear guide and delivery dates
- Trust: show real women in your team or among your clients, not stock faces
- Bookings: fill treatment, café and workshop slots in the days around the date

- A question sticker: “Which woman inspired you?” and share answers (with permission)

On 8 March, give her an hour that belongs only to her. A gift card for a facial, manicure or hair care is ready to hand over in a pretty envelope. Choose the treatment, tell us her name, and we will prepare the card. Spots in the week of the holiday fill up early, so message us to reserve yours.
Bring your mum, your sister or a friend for a spring breakfast with a pot of tea and something sweet. We saved a few tables for the holiday week. Tell us in the comments about a woman who inspired you, and we will share a few of the stories on our page. Write to us to book a table.
Our 8 March guide is in the catalogue: three price groups, each with a few ideas that are easy to give. Check the delivery banner for the last order date. If you are unsure, write the age, hobbies and budget, and we will suggest three options that fit. Please order early so the gift arrives with time to spare.
Meme and trend formats that fit
- Expectation vs reality. Two panels: the gift you hope to give and the panic search the night before. Keep the joke on the gift giver and end with a helpful link.
- Things she actually wants. A short list-style post or Reel of unglamorous wishes: a quiet hour, a hot coffee, help with the dishes. Use it to introduce a relevant gift or service.
What to avoid
- Do not use patronising jokes about women or “weaker sex” phrases; they land badly with most audiences
- Do not use a generic stock bouquet photo with the same text as everyone else; one real, specific story is stronger
- Do not forget where your audience lives: gift-and-flowers tone suits Russia and Kazakhstan, while equality-focused wording suits many other markets
When to post
- Publish the gift guide and delivery deadline 2–3 weeks before 8 March
- In the final week, post reminders for bookings and last-minute options
- The day after, thank customers and share a few real photos or stories with their permission
What to check afterwards
- Orders and bookings attributed to the gift guide or link in bio
- Saves and shares of the carousel, showing whether the ideas were useful
- Replies to the “which woman inspired you” question as a sign of real engagement
