What it is
World Obesity Day is observed on 4 March and was started by health organisations to improve understanding of obesity and to support access to care and treatment. It is usually presented as a health topic, not a matter of willpower.
It is a sensitive day. Weight is a personal subject, and many people carry shame about it. Businesses in health and fitness can be useful by sharing calm, expert-reviewed information and by making their services welcoming for beginners.

Today is World Obesity Day. Our doctors want to say it plainly: weight is not a matter of willpower alone, and nobody should feel judged for asking for help. If you would like to talk about your health, you can book a calm consultation with a specialist. We will listen first and explain every step. Please share this with someone who may need it.
World Obesity Day is a good moment to say: everyone starts somewhere. Our beginner group is for people who want to move more at their own pace, with a coach who adapts every exercise. No comparisons, no rush. Swipe to see what the first class looks like and ask us anything in the comments or in a message.
For World Obesity Day we recorded a short, gentle routine that takes ten minutes and needs no equipment. Every exercise has an easier option, so you can choose what feels comfortable. If you have a health condition, please check with your doctor first. Reply here with your questions, and our coach will answer them this week.
What to avoid
- Do not use jokes, memes, “before and after” photos or any language that shames people for their bodies
- Do not promise quick weight loss or sell miracle products; avoid specific numbers or guarantees you cannot support
- Do not give individual medical advice in public posts; direct readers to a doctor for personal questions
When to post
- Have expert-reviewed text and the booking page ready a week ahead
- Publish calmly on the morning of 4 March (a Thursday in 2027) with a supportive tone
- In the following days, answer questions in private and keep the welcoming tone in all posts
What to check afterwards
- Shares and saves of the supportive posts
- Questions in messages and bookings for a first consultation or a beginner class
- Comments that show whether the tone was welcoming; answer them with care
