What it is
International Children's Book Day is observed on 2 April, the birthday of the Danish storyteller Hans Christian Andersen. It is usually linked to IBBY, an international organisation that supports children's books and reading, and its aim is to inspire a love of reading in children.
Today libraries, schools, bookshops and family brands use the day to recommend books, run reading hours and talk about reading together with children.

Meme and trend formats that fit

What to avoid
- Do not recommend books you have not read or that do not fit the age you state
- Do not publish photos of children without their parents’ clear consent
- Avoid turning the day into a pure sales banner; lead with a recommendation, not a discount
When to post
- Prepare the carousel a week ahead and ask the team for their favourite books
- Post in the morning or early evening on 2 April (a Friday in 2027), when parents plan the weekend
- On the following days share the best reader recommendations from the comments
