What it is
World Population Day is observed on 11 July. It was established by the United Nations to draw attention to population issues such as family planning, gender equality, health and the use of resources.
For most brands it is a numbers-and-people day: a chance to talk about the people you serve with real, simple data and to share educational content.

What to aim for
- Build trust by sharing real numbers about the people you serve
- Educate with a clear infographic or quiz that people save
- Thank your customers and community
Post ideas by format
Post
- A simple thank-you with one true number about your customers, such as how many orders or lessons you have delivered
- A short question: “Where in the world are our followers from?” with a map
Carousel
- “Our community in numbers”: five slides with real, anonymised counts and a human line on each
- “Five facts about the world's population”: only facts you checked, one per slide, for education brands
Reel / short video
- Hook: “How many people does it take to make this?” A short cut of the team and the steps behind one product
- A quick quiz reel with three population questions and the answers shown after a countdown
Stories
- A poll: “Big city or small town?”
- A quiz: “Guess the most common first name among our clients”, only if you know the answer

Today is World Population Day, so we want to thank the people behind our numbers. Over the years, we have taught learners of every age, and each has a different story. Swipe to see five of them, told with permission. Behind every statistic there is a person. Which story would you like to hear more about?
World Population Day reminds us that behind every dataset there are people. In our classes, we ask students to turn one table into a story about a real community. It changes how they read numbers. How do you teach your team to see people behind the data? Share your approach in the comments.
On World Population Day we want to thank everyone who has visited us. Please tell us in the chat where you are from and how you found us. We will collect your answers into a small map and share it next week. Every person who writes helps us understand who we serve and how to do it better.
Meme and trend formats that fit
- Expectation vs reality. Two panels: an empty lane versus a crowded one at your venue in peak hours. Keep it light and about your own service, not about people.
- Fact vs everyday life. A graphic pairing a large number with a small daily moment, such as a queue for coffee. Use only numbers you have verified.
What to avoid
- Do not use invented or unsourced numbers; use real data from your own business or well-known public sources and say where they come from
- Avoid sensitive angles such as overpopulation debates, politics or religion
- Do not share personal data about customers; anonymise everything
When to post
- Gather your own real numbers a week ahead and check them
- Publish the infographic or quiz in the morning of 11 July
- The day after, share the quiz answers and thank participants
What to check afterwards
- Saves and shares of the infographic or quiz
- Replies to the question about where followers are from
- New followers from the educational content
