What it is
World Chocolate Day is celebrated on 7 July. The date is usually linked to the day chocolate is said to have first arrived in Europe in the 16th century, though the exact origin of the day is not well documented.
It is a pure food-lover day, so cafes, bakeries and gift shops use it for new desserts, tastings and gift boxes.

Today is World Chocolate Day, and our baristas made a thick hot chocolate with a bit of sea salt. Come in for a warm cup and a cookie at the counter. Which do you choose, dark, milk or white? Tell us in the comments. The most popular flavour will be on our board next week.
We prepared a gift box for chocolate lovers: several bars, a mug and a recipe card. It is in the catalogue today. If you are not sure what to give, send us a message with the person's taste and we will suggest a combination. Share your favourite chocolate memory in the comments.
Watch our pastry chef pour warm chocolate over a cake. It takes ten seconds, but the whole video is about patience. Which part do you like more, the pour or the first bite? Tell us in the comments. We will film the most popular idea tomorrow. Happy World Chocolate Day.
Meme and trend formats that fit
- Expectation vs reality. Two panels: planning to share the chocolate bar and the empty wrapper after one minute. Light, self-ironic and food-friendly.
- Dark vs milk debate. A simple two-option graphic that asks followers to pick sides in a friendly vote. Keep it playful and about taste.
What to avoid
- Do not claim health benefits of chocolate or call it a diet product
- Avoid unclear allergen information; mention nuts and milk when relevant
- Do not use only stock images; a real shot of your own dessert is more convincing
When to post
- Prepare the tasting reel and the new dessert a week ahead
- Publish in the morning of 7 July so people can plan to visit
- The day after, announce the poll winner and share follower photos
What to check afterwards
- Sales or orders of the chocolate item
- Saves and shares of the reel or carousel
- Votes and comments on the flavour poll
