What it is
World UFO Day is an informal fan day for people interested in unidentified flying objects. It is usually held on 2 July and linked to the 1947 Roswell story, though some groups mark it on another date in July.
It is a playful day, so brands treat it as a chance for science-fiction jokes, themed visuals and light puzzles.

Today is World UFO Day, and we think we had a visitor. A small green friend left a note saying he loves our building sets and wants to take three back to his planet. Can you spot the hidden alien in the photo? Write your answer in the comments. The kids who find him get a sticker in the shop.
For World UFO Day, our baristas created a blue-and-green drink that looks like a visitor from space. It is only on the menu today. Come and try it, and tell us in the comments what you would call it. The best name will become the name of the drink on our board tomorrow.
An alien unboxes our products for the first time and tries to guess what each one does. Spoiler: he is wrong about the mug. Watch the whole clip and tell us in the comments what the alien should try next. We will film the most popular idea. World UFO Day is a good reason to laugh a bit.
Meme and trend formats that fit
- An alien reviews it. A generic image of a cartoon alien with a short funny review of your product. Draw or generate your own alien rather than copying an existing character.
- Expectation vs reality. Two panels: an epic UFO landing and a quiet evening at your shop. Keep the humour simple and silly.
What to avoid
- Do not claim real UFO sightings, evidence or conspiracy theories; keep it clearly a joke
- Avoid copying well-known film or TV alien characters; use your own design
- Do not use scary or disturbing imagery with children's audiences
When to post
- Check the date: it is usually 2 July, but some mark it in a different part of July
- Prepare the visual and the puzzle a few days ahead
- The day after, reveal puzzle answers and share the funniest comments
What to check afterwards
- Comments with answers to the puzzle
- Shares of the joke post or the reel
- Sales or visits to the themed product or drink
