Social proof

Social proof is evidence that other people use and like your business, such as reviews, customer photos, ratings and counts of buyers.

Social proof is the psychological effect where people follow the choices of others, especially when they are unsure. In marketing, it takes the form of reviews and ratings, customer photos and videos, testimonials, case studies, “500 orders this month” counters, recommendations from known people and simply busy, active comments.

For a small business, social proof often matters more than any claim you make about yourself. A new visitor who sees real customers happy with the result trusts you faster. The key is authenticity: real names (with permission), real photos and specific details persuade far more than polished generic praise.

Example: a cleaning service adds a highlight “Before/After” with customers’ photos to its Instagram profile and a small notification on its website: “Anna from Riga booked a deep clean 2 hours ago”. Visitors can see that real people choose the service.

AI SMM popups include social proof widgets for your website, and reviews and customer content can be scheduled across networks from the calendar.
