What it is
Back-to-school season is not a single day but the weeks before the new school year, when families buy uniforms, stationery, backpacks, gadgets and look for courses and clubs. In many countries it peaks in August, and in Russia it leads up to 1 September, the traditional start of school.
For businesses it is one of the strongest shopping periods of the year. It works best when you help parents plan, not just push products.
