What it is
Tatiana Day on 25 January is Russian Students’ Day. It is linked to the founding of Moscow University in 1755 by a decree of Empress Elizabeth, signed on the feast day of St Tatiana, who became regarded as the patron of students. The date is also a name day for everyone called Tatiana.
In Russia it is a warm, cheerful day: students celebrate the end of the winter exam session, and many shops, cafés and services offer small student-friendly gestures and congratulate every Tatiana.

Meme and trend formats that fit
- Expectation vs reality. Left panel: the plan to start studying a month before the exam. Right panel: the real picture the night before. A familiar joke that students share themselves, so keep it affectionate.
- Two buttons. Describe a two-choice layout drawn in your own style: “sleep” and “one more chapter”. Add your product as a third option, such as coffee, only if it fits naturally.
What to avoid
- Do not promise unrealistic student discounts you cannot keep; write conditions clearly in the post
- Do not make jokes about failing exams, expulsion or debts, which can hurt real people
- Do not mix up the occasion: Tatiana Day is both students’ day and a name day, so mention both, and do not assume every follower is a student
When to post
- Decide on a student offer a week before and make sure the team knows the rules; 25 January 2027 is a Monday
- Publish in the morning and remind about the offer by lunchtime
- The day after, share photos of students and Tatianas who visited, with their permission
What to check afterwards
- Number of visits or orders using the student offer
- Shares and saves of the student-hacks carousel
- Comments with funny student stories, which give you ideas for next content
