What it is
St Andrew's Day is observed on 30 November and is the national day of Scotland. Saint Andrew is the patron saint of the country, and the blue-and-white saltire, a diagonal cross, is linked with him and appears on the Scottish flag.
The day is a bank holiday in Scotland, and it is celebrated with food, music and gatherings. For businesses, especially in the UK, it is a friendly day to celebrate local producers, tartan and traditional treats.

Happy St Andrew's Day! Today we are serving a Scottish treat alongside your coffee, baked by a local baker we love working with. Come by, try it and tell us which Scottish place you would take us to. Our team wants a list for a spring trip. Save this post so you can find your suggestions later.
To mark St Andrew's Day, we picked a few products from Scottish makers that we are proud to stock. Take a look at the album to see who made them and what makes them special. Tell us in the comments which Scottish brand you love and we will look at stocking it too. Delivery times are listed on each product page.
On St Andrew's Day we would like to recognise the Scottish small businesses we have worked with: bakers, makers, guides and studios who put real care into their work. If you run one, add yourself in the comments so others can find you. We are always glad to discover new teams and share their stories.
Meme and trend formats that fit
- Local vs tourist. Two panels showing what visitors expect from a Scottish day and what locals actually do. Keep it affectionate and avoid stereotypes that mock accents or people.
- Rating food by feel. A fun video rating three treats by cosiness. Use it only if your team genuinely enjoys the products.
What to avoid
- Do not mock the Scottish accent or lean on stereotypes; pride is the tone
- Do not use the saltire or tartan carelessly; use them respectfully and accurately
- Do not pretend to be Scottish if you are not; celebrate the day as a friend of the community
When to post
- Prepare themed products or content about a week ahead and ask local makers for photos
- Publish on the morning of 30 November and share a story at lunchtime with the treat or offer
- The following day, thank your suppliers and reshare customer photos
