What it is
Nauryz is a spring festival of renewal marking the new year in a number of cultures across Central Asia, Iran and neighbouring regions. It falls on the spring equinox and is among the oldest spring celebrations in the region. In Kazakhstan it is a public holiday, observed from 21 to 23 March.
People usually mark it with family meals, visits to relatives and neighbours, wishes of peace and abundance, and a traditional dish often called nauryz-kozhe. For businesses it is a warm, family-oriented moment.

Meme and trend formats that fit
- Expectation vs reality. Two panels: the elegant festive table you plan and the table after the guests arrive. Keep it warm and affectionate, with no jokes about traditions themselves.
- Tasting verdict. A light format where team members taste the festive dishes and give a verdict, with a respectful tone. End with an invitation to try them.
What to avoid
- Do not use stereotypes or caricatures of national dress and customs; use real photos and respect the tradition
- Do not use machine-translated greetings in Kazakh; ask a native speaker to check them
- Do not mix Nauryz with other spring holidays; mention what it is and for whom
When to post
- Prepare greetings, translations and festive offers one to two weeks ahead
- Publish the greeting in the morning of 21 March and keep the holiday schedule visible
- The day after, share photos and thanks to guests and update your normal schedule
What to check afterwards
- Comments and shares of the greeting in the Kazakh-speaking audience
- Orders of the festive sets and bookings for the holiday days
- Saves of the recipe or traditions post
