What it is
International Waffle Day is observed on 25 March and is usually linked to Sweden, where Våffeldagen, “Waffle Day”, is a popular tradition. The name is often explained as a wordplay on an old church feast held on the same day, and over time the day turned into a food holiday known beyond Sweden.
Today it is a delicious, easy-to-join moment for cafés, bakeries and home cooks, with endless topping options and very photogenic results.
