What it is
Culture Workers' Day is a professional day in Russia, celebrated on 25 March. It honours people who work in museums, libraries, theatres, clubs and houses of culture, and it was established in the 2000s as a day for the whole cultural sector.
It is a local, warm professional day, and for businesses near cultural places or those that serve their audiences it is a natural moment to say thank you and to recommend events.

- Engagement: recommend events and invite followers to share their favourite cultural places

Today is Culture Workers' Day, and we want to say thank you to those who keep museums, libraries and theatres alive: curators, librarians, guides, actors and technicians. You make the city richer every day. Tell us in the comments which cultural place you love most, and we will collect your answers into a short guide for the spring weekends.
We are close to the city theatre and the museum, and we are happy to welcome people who work there. Today, if you work in culture, come in and we will treat you to a drink. We would love to hear what is on at your place this month, so please share your next event in the comments. We will pass the information on to our guests.
On Culture Workers' Day we have collected a short list of events in our city for the coming weeks: an exhibition, a concert and a literary evening. Press the menu button to see dates and addresses, and tell us in a reply about an event we missed. We will add it to our list and share the updated version next week.
Meme and trend formats that fit
- Museum etiquette. A light, friendly format listing the things everyone wants to do in a museum but does not, like touching the exhibits. Keep it warm and end with a thank-you to the staff.
- Library silence. A short video or two panels contrasting quiet reading with the loud thoughts in your head. The joke should be about the reader, not the librarian.
What to avoid
- Do not copy ready-made greetings from the internet; a specific thank-you to a real place is stronger
- Do not make an offer that you cannot honour; if you promise a drink or discount, specify how a culture worker can use it
- Do not mock the profession or the low salaries of culture workers; keep the tone respectful
When to post
- A week before, contact one or two local places and agree on a photo or a mention
- Publish the greeting in the morning of 25 March; in 2027 it is a Thursday
- The day after, post a guide to local events and share any replies from the places you mentioned
What to check afterwards
- Replies and mentions from the cultural places you thanked
- Saves of the local guide post
- Use of any offer you made for culture workers
