What it is
Agriculture and Food Processing Workers' Day is a professional holiday in Russia, observed on the second Sunday of October. It marks the end of the harvest season and honours farmers, growers and the people who process food.
For cafés and food stores it is a natural moment to talk about where ingredients come from, to thank suppliers and to launch a seasonal harvest menu.
Symbols: A sheaf of wheat, a basket of vegetables, a tractor, a loaf of bread, a pumpkin

What to aim for
- Show where your ingredients come from, which builds trust
- Thank suppliers and tie your menu to the season
- Sell a seasonal product or dish without a heavy discount

On Agriculture Workers' Day we thank the farmers who supply our kitchen. This week we are launching a harvest menu: pumpkin soup, baked root vegetables and an apple pie from late apples. Each dish has a short note on where the main ingredient comes from. Come and taste the season. Which autumn dish do you wait for all year?
Happy Agriculture Workers' Day to everyone who grows and processes food! In our catalogue we have added a section called “Autumn harvest”: honey, preserves, grains and other products from small producers. Open it from the menu button and tell us what you usually look for, and we will suggest a set for the cold season.
Today is the holiday of those who feed us. We want to thank the local growers and processors we buy from: their work reaches our shelves every morning. Come in this week and ask us who produced your vegetables, bread or dairy. We would also love to read your own stories about gardens, dachas and family harvests in the comments.
Meme and trend formats that fit
- Expectation vs reality. A perfect farm-to-table picture against the real mud boots and early deliveries at your kitchen door. Keep the joke warm and respectful to the people who grow the food.
- Seasonal this or that. Two autumn products side by side with a poll: which one do you wait for? Works well as a Story or a comment-bait post.
What to avoid
- Do not claim a product is organic or farm-made unless it is true and you can show it
- Do not mock rural life or use clichés about village life
- Do not invent a farm story; use a real supplier, with their permission
When to post
- Agree on the supplier mention a week ahead and ask for a photo of their work
- Publish on Sunday, 11 October 2026, in the morning; the holiday falls on a weekend, which suits a relaxed food post
- On Monday, share the poll result or the guests’ stories from the comments
What to check afterwards
- Comments and shares of the supplier thank-you post
- Orders or visits for the harvest menu or the seasonal products
- Saves of the seasonal-products carousel
