What it is
World Mental Health Day is observed on 10 October every year. It is supported by the World Health Organization and the World Federation for Mental Health, and its aim is to raise awareness and reduce stigma around mental health.
For businesses the day is less about promotion and more about showing care: how you support your team, and what calm, useful information you can offer your audience.
Symbols: A green ribbon is widely used for mental health awareness; also a cup of tea, a notebook, a walk outdoors
Emoji: 💚 🌿 🫶 🧘 ☀️ 🤍
Colours: Soft green, warm white, muted blue
Hashtags: #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthAwareness #YouAreNotAlone #SelfCare #WorkplaceWellbeing

Today is World Mental Health Day. A gentle reminder: you do not have to be fine all the time. If your week is heavy, choose one small thing, such as a glass of water, a short walk or a message to someone you trust. If you feel you need more support, please reach out to a specialist or a local helpline. You are not alone.
World Mental Health Day reminds us that movement is not only about the body. This Saturday we are adding a slow stretching and breathing class with no pressure and no performance. Come as you are. If you would like to join, write to us here and we will save you a place. And take care of yourself today, in whatever way works for you.
On World Mental Health Day, we want to say what we actually do for our team: we keep meetings short, we respect days off, and we encourage people to say when the workload is too heavy. It is not perfect, and we keep learning. What helps your team feel supported at work? We would be glad to learn from your experience.
What to avoid
- Do not use humour, memes or trending sounds: the topic is serious and people reading may be struggling
- Do not give medical advice or diagnoses; share only information from qualified specialists and point to professional help
- Do not attach a sales offer or a discount to the day; if you offer a class or a service, keep the tone invitational and quiet
When to post
- Prepare the content a week ahead and have a specialist review any tips
- Publish on 10 October in the morning with a calm tone; in 2026 this is a Saturday, so keep it light on promotion
- Be ready to reply kindly to comments for the next day or two, and have a list of support resources at hand
What to check afterwards
- Saves and shares: they show that the content was considered useful
- The tone of comments and direct replies, rather than reach
- Whether the team felt the post represented them, ask them directly
