What it is
Teachers' Day in Kazakhstan is traditionally marked on the first Sunday of October. It honours teachers and education workers, and the official date should be checked each year before you plan.
Local schools, tutoring centres, children's brands and bookshops usually use it to thank teachers, often in both Kazakh and Russian.

Today we congratulate our teachers. Thank you for patience, attention and the skill of explaining difficult things simply. Thank you for believing in students even when they do not believe in themselves. Write in the comments the name of a teacher you want to thank, and we will pass your words on in our next post. Rakhmet means thank you in Kazakh.
On Teachers' Day we have put together a small selection of books for those who teach: a novel for a quiet evening, a book about education, a beautiful notebook. Open the catalogue from the menu and write us your budget, and we will suggest three options. A simple book and an honest note of thanks can mean more than a large gift.
Teachers shape what children believe they can do. On this Teachers' Day we thank everyone who teaches in classrooms, courses and online. If you remember a teacher who helped you, write their first name and one thing they taught you in the comments. We will gather the best stories and share them as a thank-you from our community.
Meme and trend formats that fit
- Teacher in a student’s memory. A warm illustrated card showing a lesson as the student remembers it versus as it really was. Keep it affectionate and avoid mocking any teacher.
- Chalkboard message. A simple chalkboard-style graphic with a short thank-you line in Kazakh and Russian.
