What it is

In Russia, the Day of Employees of the Internal Affairs Bodies is marked on 10 November. It is a professional day for the police and related services, and it is usually linked to the Soviet-era Militia Day, which was renamed after the police reform of 2011.

For businesses it is a respectful greeting day. Local shops, cafés and service companies often thank officers who work in their city, share practical safety tips and keep the tone sincere rather than salesy.

Symbols: A uniform cap, a star badge, a thank-you card, flowers, a hot cup of tea on a night shift

Emoji: 🚔 🛡️ 🎖️ 🤝 ☕ 🌹

Colours: Dark blue, grey, a warm white

Hashtags: #PoliceDay #10November #ThankYouForYourService #CommunitySafety #ДеньПолиции

What to aim for

  • Show respect for people who work in your community, which builds goodwill (trust)
  • Share useful safety advice that helps clients (reach and saves)
  • For local businesses: a quiet gesture of thanks, such as a free hot drink for officers on duty nearby

Post ideas by format

  • A short sincere congratulation from your team with one real photo, with no stock images of badges

Thank you for your service

Today is the Day of Employees of the Internal Affairs Bodies. We say a sincere thank you to the officers who work in our area, often late and in bad weather. Today any police officer who comes in on duty gets a hot drink on us. We wish everyone a quiet shift and warm tea.

Flowers say thank you

On 10 November we congratulate everyone who serves in the police. A small bouquet is a simple way to say thank you, and many of our clients choose one for a relative, a neighbour or a colleague. Write to us in direct messages, and we will help to choose flowers that fit the occasion and your budget.

Road safety tips

In honour of the day of police officers, a short video with five reminders for drivers: check lights before a trip, keep documents in one place, do not use a phone behind the wheel, give pedestrians priority and stay calm during a roadside check. Which rule do you find hardest to follow? Tell us in the comments.

Meme and trend formats that fit

  • Expectation vs reality. Two panels about a calm patrol on a sunny day versus a rainy night with a flask of tea. The joke should be about weather and tea, with respect for the profession.
  • Thank-you card parody. Use a simple handmade card with a funny but warm message. Do not mock the work, only the extremely cold weather or the long night.

What to avoid

  • Do not mock the profession or use jokes about arrests, fines or violations
  • Do not publish a discount for police as pressure on a team; if you offer anything, keep it as a small thank-you gesture that you can actually deliver
  • Do not show real officers or their badges without permission, and do not use official symbols as an advertising backdrop

When to post

  • Prepare the post a week ahead, and agree any gesture with your team so everyone knows what to do on 10 November
  • Publish in the morning, so people see the message before they step out; a thank-you works better than a sale
  • The day after, thank the people who came in and share one photo of the gesture, with their permission

What to check afterwards

  • Comments and shares of the safety carousel
  • Local follower growth and mentions from people in your city
  • How many people used the thank-you gesture, so you know whether to repeat it next year
