What it is
World Kindness Day is marked on 13 November. It is usually linked to the World Kindness Movement, a network of organisations that promoted the idea in the late 1990s, and today it is a light, positive day when people share small acts of kindness.
For businesses it works best when the gesture is real and small: a coffee for a stranger, a thank-you to a customer or a helping hand for a local cause, shown with honesty rather than as a marketing trick.
Symbols: A heart, a handwritten note, a hand reaching out, a small gift, a smile
Emoji: 💛 🤝 🌼 ☕ 🎁 😊 ✨
Colours: Warm yellow, soft pink, cream
Hashtags: #WorldKindnessDay #BeKind #RandomActsOfKindness #PayItForward #KindnessMatters

Today is World Kindness Day, and we are paying it forward. When you order, you can leave a coffee for the next person who needs one, and we will pass it on. No pressure, no names, just a small act that makes someone’s day. Tell us in the comments about a kind thing that happened to you this week.
On World Kindness Day we want to remember that good work is often about small things: answering a message with patience, sharing credit, offering help before it is asked. This week our team will take one hour to help a local nonprofit with a task. What is the kindest thing a colleague has done for you? We would like to read your stories.
World Kindness Day. Our small team wrote thank-you notes by hand and put one in every parcel packed today. It costs very little and changes the mood of an ordinary delivery. What is a small kind gesture you remember from a shop, a café or a stranger? Share it below, and we will read every reply.
Meme and trend formats that fit
- Wholesome compliment chain. A generic format where one person says something kind and the next person passes it on, drawn in your own style. Show the chain in three simple panels.
- Expectation vs reality. Left: you plan one big act of kindness. Right: you actually hold a door and say thank you. The joke is that small acts count too.
What to avoid
- Do not turn kindness into a transaction, such as a giveaway that requires many tags or purchases; keep the gesture sincere
- Do not use photos of vulnerable people, children or people in need as content without clear consent
- Do not claim donations or charity support unless it is real, and do not exaggerate what your gesture changes
When to post
- Choose one realistic gesture a week ahead and make sure the team can keep it up on 13 November
- Publish in the morning of 13 November so followers can take part during the day; add one story in the evening with a summary
- The day after, thank everyone who took part and share a couple of the stories, with permission
What to check afterwards
- Quality of comments and the number of replies with personal stories
- Shares and tags, which show how far the idea travelled
- How many customers used or mentioned the gesture
