What it is

Accountant’s Day in Russia is an informal professional day marked on 21 November. The date is usually linked to the federal law on accounting adopted on 21 November 1996. The same date is the official Day of Tax Workers, so the two professions often get congratulated together.

It is a warm day for small-business owners, who depend on their accountants every month. Companies that sell services to accountants and entrepreneurs, such as software, banks and consultancies, use it to say thank you and to share practical, honest tips.

What to aim for

  • Say thank you to your accountant and build a human image (trust)
  • Reach accountants and small-business owners with useful content (B2B reach)
  • Get saves and shares with a clear checklist for the end of the year (engagement)

Post ideas by format

Congratulations, colleagues

Today is Accountant’s Day. Our congratulations to everyone who keeps numbers in order, reminds about deadlines and does not panic at the end of the quarter. We wish you fewer last-minute requests, more complete documents from clients and quiet days between reports. Colleagues, tell us in the comments what makes your work easier, and we will share the best ideas next week.

To the people behind the numbers

On Accountant’s Day we want to thank the specialists who help small companies stay organised. Our product team learns from accountants every week, and their questions make our work better. We are preparing a short guide on how to prepare documents for year-end. Tell us in the comments which topic would help you most, and we will start with it.

A bouquet for your accountant

A good accountant is a calm partner for any owner. Today we say thank you to the people who read between the lines of every document. If you have not said it yet, call your accountant and congratulate them. A short message or a small bouquet matters more than you might think. Share in the comments what your accountant did that you appreciated most.

Meme and trend formats that fit

  • Expectation vs reality. Left: a client who promises to send documents on Monday. Right: a folder arriving at 11 p.m. on Friday. Let the owner be the target of the joke, with warmth toward accountants.
  • Two buttons. A two-choice format with “send everything on time” and “explain it all in the last hour”. Draw your own version and end with a useful tip.

What to avoid

  • Do not give tax or legal advice that depends on a country, a form of business or a year; keep tips general and say so
  • Do not mock accountants as boring or only as people who say no; thank them for a real contribution
  • Do not publish a discount for accountants as the main message, and do not offer anything that you cannot deliver

When to post

  • Prepare the year-end checklist a week ahead and ask a real accountant to review it
  • Publish in the morning of 21 November, which falls on a Saturday in 2026, so a relaxed, warm tone works better than a business report
  • The day after, share the best comments and, if you promised a guide or a checklist, publish it in the next days

What to check afterwards

  • Saves and shares of the checklist carousel, which show real usefulness
  • Responses from accountants and new followers from B2B audiences
  • Requests for a guide, a call or a demo after the post, if you offer one
