What it is
Quitter's Day is an informal, internet-era name for the second Friday of January, which is popularly said to be the day when many people give up on their New Year's resolutions. The claim is usually linked to analysis of fitness-app activity, though it is a catchy rule of thumb rather than an exact science.
That makes it an excellent day for supportive content: instead of mocking people who stall, coaches, schools and wellness brands can help them restart with small, realistic steps.

They say today is the day many people give up on resolutions. We say: a missed week is not a failed plan. Start again with one ten-minute workout at home, no equipment, no guilt. Save this post, do it today and tell us in the comments when you are done. Our coaches will reply to every message and help you plan the next step.
Many learning goals stall in January because they are too big and too vague. Our teachers suggest three fixes: shrink the goal to twenty minutes a day, attach it to a fixed time and share your plan with someone. If you paused your course, we are happy to offer a free check-in call to adjust the plan. Which habit helped you keep learning going?
If your January plan has slipped, you are in good company. Today we are posting a short checklist for a gentle restart: sleep, water, ten minutes of movement and one thing to look forward to. No extremes and no punishment. Save the checklist and write to us if you want a personal check-in with a specialist. Small steps are enough to restart.
Meme and trend formats that fit
- Expectation vs reality. Left: “January me, full of discipline”. Right: the same person with the alarm snoozed three times. Self-ironic, and end with a gentle “restart today” line.
- Progress bar. A mock progress bar for a resolution stuck at a small percentage, with a caption about starting again. Keep the humour about the plan, not about people.
What to avoid
- Do not shame followers who stalled; the day is for support, not for judgement
- Do not state the “fact” about the day as scientific truth; say “people say” or “it is often said”
- Do not promise quick results or make health claims; present your tips as general advice and refer to a specialist for medical issues
When to post
- Prepare the content in the first week of January, when people are still motivated
- Publish on the second Friday of January, in the morning, so people can restart before the weekend
- Over the weekend, follow up with a story series or a check-in and reply to messages
What to check afterwards
- Saves of the restart posts and carousels
- Messages and bookings for check-in sessions or trial classes
- Replies to polls and tracker stickers
