What it is
All-Russian Library Day is a professional holiday of Russian librarians, observed on 27 May. The date is usually linked to the founding of the first public library in Russia, the Imperial Public Library in St Petersburg, in the late 18th century.
For businesses it is a gentle, bookish occasion: a chance to thank local libraries, recommend reading and show that your brand cares about knowledge and education.
