What it is
International Children's Day, or Children's Day, is observed on 1 June in Russia, Kazakhstan and many other countries. It is usually linked to the post-war international movement to protect children's rights and wellbeing, and it is widely celebrated with events for families.
For family-oriented businesses it is one of the biggest dates of the year: parents look for events, gifts and kind gestures. The day is first about children's wellbeing and only then about promotion.

Ready-made post examples

Happy Children’s Day! Today we are open for families with games, drawing and a creative workshop. Children can build something from paper, paint with their hands and meet new friends. Parents can sit with a hot drink and watch. Entry details and the schedule are in the highlights. Write in the comments what your child loves doing most.
On 1 June our team has prepared a small surprise for every child who comes with their family: a drawing to colour and a sweet treat from our kitchen. Parents, if you want to reserve a table for a family lunch, write to us in this chat. We will keep a quiet corner and a high chair if you need one.
Happy Children’s Day! We have prepared a short guide to children’s books by age: picture books for the little ones, stories for early readers and adventures for older kids. Come and choose in person, or send us a message with your child’s age and interests, and our team will suggest a few titles to try.
What to avoid
- Do not post children’s photos without written parental consent, and never publish names, addresses or schools
- Do not use the day as a pretext for aggressive selling; focus on events, kindness and practical help for families
- Avoid sentimental clichés or stock images; a real, safe photo of your space or your team’s childhood pictures feels more honest
When to post
- Prepare events, permissions and schedules at least two weeks ahead
- Publish the programme a few days before so parents can plan, and post a reminder on the morning of 1 June
- After the day, thank parents and share only photos that you have permission to publish
What to check afterwards
- Registrations, bookings or visits during the day compared with a normal day
- Saves and shares of the “where to go” carousel, which show practical value for parents
- Comments and messages from parents, which can give ideas for new events
