What it is
Fire Protection Day is a professional holiday of firefighters in Russia, observed on 30 April. It is usually linked to a decree of 1649 that is considered the beginning of organised fire protection in the country.
For businesses it is a respectful day to thank firefighters and to share practical fire-safety knowledge with customers and teams.

Today is Fire Protection Day in Russia, and we would like to say thank you to the people who run towards danger when others run away. This week our team also checked our extinguishers and exits, because safety is part of hospitality. If you are a firefighter, your coffee today is on us. Please show your ID at the counter.
On Fire Protection Day we share the routine that helps our office stay safe: a marked evacuation plan, extinguishers checked on a schedule, clear exits and a short drill twice a year. Nothing complicated, but it works only if it is done regularly. What safety habits does your company have that others could copy?
For Fire Protection Day, a short reminder for every household: do not overload sockets, do not leave heaters unattended, keep an extinguisher or a fire blanket within reach, know two exits, and keep the emergency number saved. In the catalogue you will find a section with home safety items. Open it from the menu button.
Meme and trend formats that fit
- Expectation vs reality. Two panels: the fire-safety routine as it is written in the instructions and as a team actually follows it, with a light and constructive tone. Never joke about real fires, injuries or victims.
- Safety checklist reveal. A cheerful “How many did you tick?” list of five safety habits with the answer at the end. It should motivate people to check, not to laugh at accidents.
What to avoid
- Do not make jokes about real fires, injuries or victims, and do not use shocking images; the tone must be respectful
- Do not give technical or legal safety instructions you are not qualified to give; refer readers to official rules and local services
- Do not use a firefighter’s image or uniform in an advertisement without their agreement
When to post
- Check the safety advice against official sources a week ahead
- Publish on the morning of 30 April (a Friday in 2027), before the long weekend, when safety reminders are useful
- Follow up with a checklist or a thank-you post after the day
What to check afterwards
- Saves and shares of the safety checklist
- Comments from local firefighters or neighbours, which show the post resonated
- Questions about your own safety measures from customers or partners
