What it is
Galentine's Day is an informal celebration of female friendship held on 13 February, the day before Valentine's Day. It was popularised by a US TV comedy series, and fans turned it into a real tradition of brunches, small gifts and notes to friends.
For brands it is a warm, low-pressure alternative to a romantic campaign. It suits beauty studios, cafés and online shops that can offer something for two friends rather than for a couple.
