What it is
National Pizza Day is an informal American food day observed on 9 February. It has no official status and is driven by pizzerias, delivery services and food lovers, which is why it spread to many countries through social media.
Pizza itself is usually linked to Naples, and the topic is rich in friendly debates, from thin versus thick crust to the old question of pineapple. That makes it a perfect day for polls, votes and comments.
