What it is
World Pharmacists Day is observed on 25 September. It was set by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) to highlight the role of pharmacists in health care, and each year the federation usually picks a theme.
For pharmacies and health brands it is a chance to thank the team and to share simple, safe information that helps customers use medicines responsibly.

Today is World Pharmacists Day. Thank you to the people who read prescriptions carefully, explain how to take a medicine and always find a calm word for a worried customer. You are the first person many of us ask about health. Tell us in the comments about a time a pharmacist helped you, and we will pass your words to the team.
On World Pharmacists Day, a simple reminder: look at your home medicine cabinet. Check the expiry dates, keep medicines in their original packaging with the leaflet, and keep them out of children’s reach. If you are unsure about a medicine or a combination, ask a pharmacist or your doctor before taking it. This post is general information, not a personal recommendation.
Pharmacists are often the most accessible health professionals in a neighbourhood. They answer questions, notice interactions and help people feel safe with their treatment. On World Pharmacists Day we want to thank the pharmacists we work with and ask: what is one thing a pharmacist did that made your health care better or simpler?
Meme and trend formats that fit
- Everyday heroes. A kind illustrated card or a short video showing small things the pharmacist does (reads a handwritten prescription, calms a customer). Keep the tone warm; do not joke about illness or medicines.
- Myth or fact. A simple two-slide format where the pharmacist labels a general claim as myth or fact. Use only well-known, safe information and add a reminder to ask a professional.
What to avoid
- Do not give personal medical advice or dosage guidance in a public post
- Do not promise cures or make health claims about products
- Avoid jokes about illnesses; keep the tone respectful and warm
When to post
- Prepare the content a week ahead and have your pharmacist review any health information
- Publish in the morning of 25 September
- The day after, answer the questions from Stories in a short post or Q&A
What to check afterwards
- Saves and shares of the information carousel
- Questions received in Stories and comments
- Visits to the pharmacy’s page or messages asking for opening hours
